Save, share, or export something

Anywhere theONE can hand a file to iOS — PDF, text, photo — works the same way: an action menu opens the iOS share sheet so you can save to Files, AirDrop, mail, or print.

Whenever theONE can produce a file (a PDF, a text summary, a photo), the screen shows an iOS share sheet. The share sheet is the menu with AirDrop, Save to Files, Mail, Messages, Print, and Copy. You always use the same iOS sheet — the only thing that changes is which screen you opened it from.

Steps

  1. Logbook → Export PDF

Open the menu (☰) → Operational records → Logs; the page opens on the Logbook segment (it is the default; the segment is labelled just 'Logbook'). Tap the … menu in the toolbar and choose 'Export PDF'. The share sheet opens with the rendered logbook PDF — pick AirDrop, Mail, Save to Files, or Print.

  2. Insurance Export → PDF

Menu (☰) → Settings → Vessel Setup → Onboarding audit, then the ⋯ menu in the toolbar → 'Export insurance PDF'. The share sheet opens with the rendered PDF.

WHAT IS IN IT: the maintenance schedule, recent completions with who did them, vendor sign-offs, and the maintenance comms log — the boat's maintenance posture, which is what an underwriter asks for at binding or renewal.

WHAT IS NOT: the vessel's own particulars. Hull identity, dimensions and papers are a separate document — 'Setup sheet export', its own row in the Settings list.

  3. Vessel Briefing → share

Open the menu (☰) → Vessel & ops → Vessel Briefing. Tap the share icon to render and share the full briefing PDF for buyers, insurers, or a new captain.

  4. Owner Week Digest → PDF

Open the menu (☰) → Operational records → Owner Week Digest — not Vessel & ops. It renders and shares a 1-week PDF summary straight from the menu, with no screen to navigate to first. The row is there for whoever holds the money key (Money: see bills, costs, prices, receipts, rates) — by default the owner, the captain and the manager; crew, vendors and guests do not get it, and the search box does not offer it to them.

  5. Float Plan → share the PDF

Open the Emergency drawer → 'File a float plan', fill the plan, and tap 'Send to contacts'. ONE PDF goes to ONE ordinary share sheet, and you choose there who gets it.

It does not fire a sheet per contact, and it does not read anyone's channel preference — that setting is stored and displayed and has no effect on filing (see Float plan contacts — add, edit, channels).

  6. Playbook Run → share summary

Open a completed Playbook Run from the Playbook tab. Tap share. A run-summary text/PDF is handed to the share sheet.

  7. Vessel Transfer → export code

Menu (☰) → Settings → Vessel Transfer → 'Generate transfer bundle', then confirm. The share sheet hands off a .theone-transfer file. Owner-only, and there is no 'Export' step or transfer code — see Vessel transfer — handing the boat to a new owner.
