Inside a trip — what every section means
Tour the Trip Detail screen.
Trip Detail is one screen, top to bottom: header, the lifecycle button, the readiness card, Legs, the destination forecast, Departments, All tasks, Crew on this trip, Jots linked here, and Notes.
Steps
-
Header + countdown
The trip title, a phase eyebrow, origin → destination, and chips for the departure date and time, the guest count, and the return date and captain when those are set. Below it sits the lifecycle button, labelled Start Leg, End Leg or End Trip followed by the trip title; it is hidden while departure is more than 48 hours away. The lifecycle CTA is the single action that moves the trip forward.
-
Readiness strip
A readiness ring, the count of tasks done out of the total, and how long until departure. Tapping the card opens the first department that still has incomplete tasks.
-
Department drawer
There are seven departments — Bridge, Engineering, Electrical, Deck, Hull, Interior, Safety — and each is a row showing done out of total, a percent ready, and a small readiness ring. Tap a row to open the department drawer — full task editor for that department, with add/edit/check/delete and an inline checklist per task.
-
Legs
Each leg is a row with its leg number, origin → destination, a status chip once it is past Scheduled, and the ETD, with duration, straight-line distance and a via-waypoints count when the leg carries them. Tap to open the Leg Detail Sheet — edit times, add cost, attach photos or voice memos.
-
Jots linked here
Jots you route to this trip are listed under "Jots linked here" near the bottom of the screen. There is no event log on Trip Detail: creating, starting, completing or cancelling a trip is written to the Live activity feed on Mission Control instead.
