Complete (end) a trip

Walk through the End Trip wizard and what each step asks for.

When you tap the lifecycle CTA on the last leg, the End Trip wizard opens. Nine steps — confirm arrival, arrival debrief, tanks, run hours, observations, stowage, bills, crew handoff, summary. It's designed so you can finish in under three minutes if everything was logged en route, and longer if you want to capture observations.

Steps

  1. Open it from Today or Trip Detail

On Mission Control the Captain's Console lifecycle row reads "End Trip:" followed by the trip name once the trip is active and no further leg is scheduled. Tapping it opens the Leg Review sheet. The same row on Trip Detail opens the wizard directly. The TODAY drill-in does not carry this row.

  2. End Trip from Leg Review or the Lock Screen

The red End Trip now in the Leg Review sheet opens the End Trip confirm; while a leg is underway or paused its main button reads "Close out the leg" and brings you here instead of ending the trip behind your back, so tanks, hours and the destination are captured. The End Trip link on the Lock Screen Live Activity opens this wizard straight away in that case. Only a trip with no leg running ends directly, after its confirm. A trip whose legs are all finished shows "This trip has no leg to close out." with an End Trip button — no spinner.

  3. Step 1 — Confirm arrival

Confirm the final port and the arrival timestamp. If you logged a leg-end earlier, the timestamp is pre-filled.

  4. Step 3 — Tank readings

Fuel, water, holding. Set the ending fill % for each tank with the stepper — it starts from your last-known reading. A tank nobody has read shows Not read and stays unread unless you set it. Tap 'Skip this tank' (or 'Skip all') on anything you didn't measure and its existing reading stays in place.

  5. Step 4 — Run hours

Per-engine and per-generator: type what the meter reads now and the wizard logs the difference from its last reading on record as this trip's hours. A meter that has never been read shows No reading on record and logs nothing — there is no reading to count from.

  6. Step 5 — Observations

Anything that went wrong, anything you want to remember next trip. Each observation gets a title, optional details, and a severity — Watch or Note. A Private switch keeps an observation out of a sale transfer; signed in, it still goes to the boat's other devices like any other. These appear in the Maintenance tab after you finish.

  7. Step 9 — Summary

A RECAP card lists the arrival, the leg destination, which leg of how many, tank readings, run hours, observations and the arrival debrief. Below it you can still tap 'Add a debrief' or 'Preview Trip Summary PDF'. Tap 'Mark Trip Completed' and confirm on the 'Mark trip as completed?' dialog. The wizard ends every leg still running, aborts any leg you never started, and marks the trip completed. Calendar event closes too if one was linked.
