Find a vendor fast — search companies and their people
Type a few letters and find the right vendor by company name, a person's name, or your own notes.
The Vendors list has an always-visible search field. It matches three things and only three: the company name, your notes on the card, and the names of the people at each vendor. You remember 'the Yanmar guy' as Dave; type Dave and his company surfaces, without opening a single card.
It does not match an email address, a phone number, an address, a website, or a person's job title. Type a phone number and you get no matches — not because the number isn't on the card, but because the field isn't looking there. Search the person's name instead, then open the card.
Steps
-
Search
☰ → Settings → Vendors, then type in the field at the top. Active and Suspended both filter live, and when nothing matches the list says so and shows you what it searched for.
-
Suspended vendors are still findable
A suspended or expired vendor stays in the list under Suspended — search reaches it. That is deliberate: the history of who did what has to survive the access being switched off.
