Cancel or reschedule a trip (and aborting a leg)
Weather changed. Plans changed. Here's how to back out cleanly.
Plans change. A whole trip is CANCELLED — there is no trip-level abort. ABORT is a leg-level action, for a passage you started and had to break off. Rescheduling is simply editing the trip's dates. All three keep the record: nothing is deleted, and a cancel can be undone.
Steps
-
Open Trip Detail
Menu (☰) → Trips → tap the trip you need to change. From the chart, the drawer's Reschedule/Change Plan row opens Edit Trip for your next trip — dates, places, people — the same sheet Trip Detail's Edit button opens; a destination change while a leg is underway is Reroute on the chart toolbar instead.
-
Cancel the trip, or abort a leg
To call off the whole trip: Edit Trip → 'Cancel this trip?' → 'Cancel <trip name>'. It is marked Cancelled and drops off Upcoming; legs, float plan, costs and log are all kept, and you can undo it. No reason is asked for. If a leg of the trip is underway and recording its track, cancelling stops the recording — and the GPS and the location arrow it kept on — and closes the track where it was; the leg itself is left as it was. Undo starts the recording again, and a cancelled trip's leg never starts recording again by itself when theONE next opens.
To break off a passage already underway: open the leg → Abort. That one does require a reason — free text, not a picker — stored on the leg for the briefing log.
If later legs of the trip are still scheduled, an Update Remaining Legs sheet follows the abort: Keep Dates leaves them as they are, Update lets you move each one's ETD and ETA, and Cancel asks why you are not updating them and keeps that reason on the trip's briefing log — the legs stay scheduled. There is no Weather / Mechanical / Personal / Other picker.

When the cascade offer appears
The reschedule cascade — Apply Shift, Keep Original, or Edit Each Manually — is raised when a LEG is started or ended off its planned time. An aborted leg with legs still to come raises the Update Remaining Legs sheet instead (above). Changing dates in Edit Trip does not currently offer to shift dependent legs; you move them yourself.

Cancelled trips are kept
A cancelled trip stays in the record and stays searchable; it simply stops appearing under Upcoming. The Trips list chips are All, Upcoming, Underway and Returned — there is no Aborted or Cancelled chip, so look under All.
