Silence an active alarm temporarily
Dismiss an alert banner on Mission Control and re-tune the alert that raised it.
When a tank or engine-temperature alert fires it appears as a banner on Mission Control, and there is no snooze. The banner's only control is an ✕ that dismisses it; tapping the banner itself opens that alert's own settings. Dismissing acknowledges every outstanding alert of that kind, so the banner clears and a later alert raises it again.
To configure thresholds and durably tune alerts: open the specific alert's settings — Tank Alerts, Engine Alerts and Hour-Meter Alerts each have their own settings view under Settings → Vessel Setup, grouped there under the Alerts chip.
iOS Do Not Disturb / Focus modes also affect whether you hear alarm sounds — theONE follows the iOS notification settings for the app.
Steps
-
Dismiss the banner
When an alert fires, a banner appears on Mission Control. Tap the ✕ to dismiss it, or tap the banner to open that alert's settings. There is no snooze — the only snooze controls in the app are on Foresight cards and on Calendar overdue items.
-
Re-tune the threshold
If the same alert keeps tripping without telling you anything new, adjust its threshold: menu (☰) → Settings → Vessel Setup → Engine Alerts, Tank Alerts, or Hour-Meter Alerts.
-
If alarms are silent
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → theONE. Focus and Do Not Disturb apply too — theONE follows your iOS notification settings.
