Pinned weather locations

Pin the spots you cruise to — home port, favorite anchorages, destinations — to see weather for each at a glance.

Pin the places you actually go — your home port, the next overnight anchorage, the next port of call — and theONE shows a tile for each. One scroll and you know if the day is on, off, or 'check again at noon'.

Trips add chips of their own. A planned or active trip departing or returning within the next week puts its origin and destination on the strip, labelled with the trip's name. Those are temporary — they disappear when the trip closes — and long-pressing one offers Save as pinned location if you want to keep it.

Steps

  1. Open weather

The TODAY chip on Mission Control → its conditions row. That opens the full weather panel.

There is no weather block on Mission Control itself — the Weather Overview tile was retired because it duplicated what Today already showed, and Today is the single weather surface now.

  2. Pin a location

Tap the + in the top right of the weather screen — it is labelled Add Location. Type a city, marina or anchorage and tap a suggestion; there is no map to drop a pin on and no Save button, the tap commits it. The new chip joins the strip and becomes the one the big card is showing. The suggestions come from Apple's place search, which needs a connection: with no signal the sheet says "Search needs a connection" rather than "No matches", and if Apple's search does not answer it says "Search didn't answer".

  3. Reorder pins

Long-press a pinned chip and pick Move left or Move right — there is no drag gesture, and the end chips only offer the direction that does something. The order only decides where a chip sits in the strip. The Morning Brief reads the vessel's own position, not your first pin, and the big card starts on the Vessel chip until you tap another one.

  4. Remove a pin

Long-press the chip, tap Remove Pin, then confirm on the 'Remove pinned location?' alert. The chips sit in a horizontal strip rather than a list, so there is nothing to swipe, and a plain tap just moves that place into the big card.
