Calendar conflicts — when two things overlap
Understand how theONE flags overlapping events on the boat calendar and how to resolve them.
Calendar conflicts happen when two things compete for the boat at the same time — a trip and a vendor visit, two haul-out slots, a charter and a service window. theONE flags them when you create the second event so you can decide before it's a problem.
Steps
-
Where conflicts show
When you create a trip, service order, or calendar event that overlaps an existing one, the create sheet shows a red conflict banner with the conflicting event named. A new work order is checked once you give it a Next due date: it holds that whole day, and the banner names any trip on it. Save still saves it — the work order sheet asks no second question.
-
Open Calendar
Menu (☰) → Calendar. Conflicting days show a red dot; tap the day to see both events stacked. Calendar is no longer on the Stowage tab body.
-
Resolve by editing
Tap either event to open it, then use its edit sheet to change the date or time by hand. theONE re-checks as you save. There is no 'Move to' action and nothing finds the next clear slot for you.
-
Allow the overlap
If the overlap is intentional — a vendor working while you are aboard but not underway — save anyway: the conflict dialog offers 'Schedule anyway' and both events are kept. BUT THE WARNING DOES NOT QUIET. Nothing is stored as acknowledged, so the overlap chip and the red dot on the month view stay for as long as both events do. There is no 'Acknowledge Conflict' control.
