Anomaly watch — flags when live readings drift
Set the watch rules and trip-points that check the readings streaming in from a connected NMEA gateway.
theONE carries eleven watch rules for your readings: fuel draw, fresh-water draw, holding-tank fill, coolant trend, house-bank sag, windlass load, depth shoaling, one engine working harder than the other, engines burning unevenly, load rising at steady RPM, and plugged in but not charging. When a reading crosses a trip-point, the finding is recorded with the reason and the time.
THE RULES RUN ON LIVE BRIDGE READINGS ONLY. They evaluate as readings arrive from a connected NMEA gateway, and a value you type in by hand — or a tank level you edit — deliberately does not feed them. That is on purpose: these rules watch for DRIFT across a stream of readings, and a hand-entered figure every few days is not a stream. A single typed number would trip a trend rule that means nothing. So with no gateway on the boat, this page has nothing to act on. Where it does run, it is arithmetic on your own readings against trip-points you set. It supplements the watch you keep; it never replaces it.
Steps
-
Turn families on or off
Menu (☰) → Settings → Vessel Setup → Foresight Notifications → Streaming anomaly watch. Each of the eleven rule families has its own switch — no windlass? Switch that family off.
-
Tune the trip-points
Same screen, Anomaly thresholds: every number the rules compare against is editable. Leave a field blank to use the built-in default; enter your own to match your boat's normal.
-
Which alerts read the live feed
Only these rules. The tank and engine-temperature alerts set elsewhere in Vessel Setup check a reading when you save one, not the live feed — which is what the connection wizard's last screen now says too.
