Reassign a task to someone else
Tap-and-hold a task to reassign it across roles. By default the owner, a manager holding Owner authority and a captain whose Captain may edit is on; the owner can give the key to someone else, crew included. Vendors and guests never.
Long-press a task row to surface the 'Reassign…' context menu. The menu appears only if you hold the key to reassign tasks — store-side validation re-checks regardless.
Steps
-
Who sees the menu
Owner: always. Manager: when Owner authority is given to them. Captain: when Captain may edit is switched on. Anyone else, crew included, when the owner — or a manager, for keys they hold — gives them the key to reassign tasks under Keys (see Doors and keys). Vendors and guests: never.
-
Pick a target
The roster is every active member except vendors, sorted Owner → Manager → Captain → Crew → Guest, then by display name. Guests are on that list — nothing stops you assigning a task to one. Captain self-reassign is allowed (intentional).
-
Confirm
The button is called Assign, top-right of the sheet. It stays disabled until you pick a target that differs from the current override.
-
Clear the override
If a task already has an override, a row in the sheet header reads 'Currently assigned to <name>' with a Clear button at its right. Clear calls store.clearTaskAssignment and the task returns to default role routing.
