Log a completed service
Record an oil change, filter swap, zinc, or any service event.
Every service event you log lands in the system's Service History card and advances the interval's baseline. The faster you log it, the more accurate your service history.
Steps
-
Find the system
Three ways. Maintenance tab → the job on the Work orders board → tap it → 'Mark this done' (it reads 'Record it done again' if a completion is already on record). Or open the system from the Vessel Briefing, or search its name, and tap Log Service on its page. Settings → Vessel Setup does not open a system's page.
There is no swipe-to-complete gesture on the maintenance list.
-
Fill the Log Service sheet
Five sections: When (defaults to today, and you can back-date it freely), Run hours at service (pre-filled with the system's current reading when it has one), Performed by (free text, or tap the icon to pick one of your saved vendor cards), Cost, and Notes. There is no interval selector and no parts field, and Performed by starts empty every time.
-
Photos
There is nowhere to attach a photo when you log the work. The Log Service sheet takes a date, run hours, who performed it, cost and notes, and the mark-done section on a work order has no photo field either. A work order that already carries photos shows them as a read-only strip.
-
Save
The system's Service History gets a new entry. The system's baseline advances. The Maintenance list now shows the next instance of this interval at the bottom (or higher if very long interval). The Mission Control 'upcoming maintenance' chip refreshes.
