A guest messaging the crew
How a guest aboard asks the crew for something, and where it lands.
A guest aboard has one thing to say to the boat: a message to the captain and crew. It is on the guest's trip screen — Message the crew.
They type what they need, say how much of a hurry they're in, and send. It lands in Guest Requests on your day view and on Mission Control — on every crew member's and officer's phone, once the guest's phone and yours have synced with the boat — and the other guests on that trip see it too. Tap it to mark it done; that clears it on every phone. A guest can't mark one done.
It is not a chat. There is no thread and no reply — the crew's answer is the thing getting done, and the list's job is to show what is still open.
Anything genuinely urgent — a medical need, water aboard, someone hurt — is not this button. The sheet says so. Go and find a crew member.
Steps
-
The guest sends it
Their trip screen → Message the crew. Type it, pick how soon, Send. A message sent on a phone with no trip on it stays on that phone, and the sheet says so.
-
You see it
Guest Requests, on your day view and on Mission Control, alongside everything else outstanding.
-
You close it
Tap the request and confirm Mark Done. It leaves the open list on every phone and stays in the record.
