Float plan contacts — add, edit, channels
The Float Plan address book lives once-per-vessel. Each contact has a name, phone, email, channel preference, and an optional note.
The float plan address book is not on the Stowage tab. Reach it by typing "float plan contacts" in the search box, or from the Float Plan Workbench itself, which has 'Add Filed-With Contact' and 'Add Emergency Contact' buttons. Ship's Directory in the hamburger lists these contacts once you have some — on a fresh install it has no row to tap, so the search box is the way in. The list starts empty: add yourself, your spouse or partner, your dock master, your marine insurer, whoever you'd want notified.
Steps
-
Add a contact
Tap +. Enter name (free-form — 'Dad', 'USCG Sector Maryland', anything). Add phone and/or email. Pick a channel preference.
-
Channel preference
Four options, in this order on the picker: Either, Text message, Email, and Email and text. They record what you would prefer. THEY DO NOT CHANGE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU FILE — see the next step.
-
What filing actually does
The Float Plan Workbench renders ONE PDF and hands it to ONE ordinary system share sheet. You choose there who gets it. It does not prepare a sheet per channel per contact, and nothing in the app reads your channel preference when filing — the setting is stored and shown, and that is the whole of its effect today. The footer under the picker says the same: a preference, not a way of sending.

What this list does NOT do
There is no per-contact 'receive overdue' toggle. Channel preference is the only per-contact switch, and as the step above says it does not change what filing does. Contacts on this list are the people you can pick from when you share the plan.
