Add a stowage location

Create a named stowage location — locker, drawer, lazarette — that other items can be assigned to.

Stowage is your boat's drawer-and-locker map. Adding a location creates a named place — Port Lazarette, Galley Drawer #2, V-berth shelf — that you can assign spares, tools, and inventory to. Then 'where's the impeller' becomes one search.

Steps

1. Open Stowage

   Stowage tab → Inventory → Stowed items.

2. Add a location

   Tap +. Name it (Port Lazarette, Helm Cabinet, etc.). Pick a ship section — Fore-Ship, Mid-Ship or Aft-Ship; every location belongs to one. A zone (Bow, Galley, Engine room, Lazarette and the rest) and notes are optional.

3. Edit by tap

   Tap the location, then Edit location, to change the name, ship section, zone or notes — a location has no photo. Delete location is a separate button, and it is refused while items are still assigned there. Items already assigned move with the rename.

4. Assign items

   From the location detail, tap + at the top right — VoiceOver reads it "Add item to" and the location's name — to log what lives there. The + is there for a role that can edit stowage. Or from any Spares or Inventory item, set the location to this one.
