What is a Playbook?
Checklists you run on the boat, with every run kept in its history.
A playbook is a named checklist you run on the boat. Examples: 'Pre-departure', 'Engine start sequence', 'Storm prep', 'Winterization', 'Hurricane plan'. The difference from a paper checklist: when you start a run, theONE remembers which items you checked, captures photos, lets you log observations from any item, and keeps the finished run in the playbook's run history.
Steps
-
Playbook tab
Bottom bar → Playbook. Grid of playbook cards.
-
Tap a playbook card
Opens the playbook detail: a header, a flat list of its items, the five most recent runs, a notepad, and the primary button — labelled Start Check. Playbooks have no sections and no default systems.
-
Tap Start Check
A new active run opens. Big tap-target checkboxes, action chips on each item for Photo / Note / Observation. As you tick boxes, the run is saved live — you can lock the phone and resume later.
-
Complete the run
Complete Run enables when every item is accounted for — checked, or skipped with a reason. Tap it and the run closes into the run history, where the checks, notes, photos and skip reasons stay readable, and it offers you a summary to share.
NOTHING IS WRITTEN TO THE MAINTENANCE LOG OR THE TRIP LOG. A run carries no trip association to key one off. Any observations you logged during the run do go to the Maintenance tab.
-
Pause and resume
Tap Pause to leave the run open. It shows up as the 'Active run' banner on the Playbook tab. Pick up from where you left off.
