Anchorage history — every place you've dropped the hook

Use your automatic list of past anchorages to review where you've been, read the notes you left, and plan a confident return.

Anchorage history is your list of every place you've dropped the hook — built automatically from the destinations of the legs you've completed, most recent visit first. It's a derived view, so there's nothing extra to log: finish a leg and the place shows up.

Steps

  1. Find Anchorage History

Menu (☰) → Operational records → Logs, then the Anchorages tab (owner, management and captain only). If you've never completed a leg with a destination, you'll see an empty state explaining how the list fills in.

  2. How the list is built

Complete a leg with a destination and that place lands here. Visit the same place more than once and it stays a single row with a visit count. Grouping matches on the destination name — trimmed, and ignoring capitals — together with the coordinates rounded to four decimals, so the name has to match too: 'Annapolis' and 'Annapolis MD' stay two rows even at the same coordinates.

  3. What each row shows

A row gives the place, how many times you've been, and the date you were last there. Rows are ranked by most recent visit, because that's how you actually think about anchorages — 'where did I drop the hook last weekend?'

  4. Notes from your visits

Any notes you captured on those legs show inline under the place — 'good holding, sand bottom, tight swing with a southerly.' These become your anchorage observations for the next time you plan a trip back.

  5. Replay a visit

When a leg recorded a track, you can open a replay of that visit to see how you came in and how the boat swung — useful before committing to the same spot in different conditions.

  6. Plan a return

Treat a prior anchorage as your reference when you plan a new trip back: your own notes tell you what to expect on holding, swing room, and depth before you ever arrive.
